Nursery and Reception Admissions

Admissions to Milton Primary Academy for pupils entering Nursery and Reception at the beginning of each academic year (September) are managed by the admissions team at Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

You will be contacted directly by the council to apply for a place in Reception and can apply online, or by completing a paper application form. The admissions team will then contact you in April to inform you which school your child has been allocated to.

PLEASE NOTE: Application dates for September 2024 will be uploaded here once released by the admissions team.

Please ensure applications are submitted prior to the closing date to avoid disappointment.

As children can join our Nursery from the term after they turn 3 years of age - this may mean that they join us in January or at Easter. Changing your child’s school part way through an academic year

If you are applying for your child to change school part way through the year, because you have moved house or want your child to move to Milton Primary, please talk to your child's current school and contact our school office. 

You will need to apply directly to us if you want your child to join our school in these circumstances. If we do not have a place for your child then we will put your child on our waiting list. You can appeal the decision by contacting the local authority admissions team.
