๐ At Milton Primary Academy, we truly believe in unlocking pupils' personal potential by extending the boundaries of education beyond the traditional classroom. Clubs on offer currently include: ๐ณ cooking, ๐จ arts and crafts, ๐ต recorders, ๐ท๏ธ tag games, โณ golf, ๐ running, ๐ storybooks, โ๏ธ creative writing, ๐ง construction, ๐ small world, and ๐ฌ film - there really is something for everyone and far more than we could possibly mention! ๐
Another important aspect of our enrichment offer at Milton Primary Academy is our unwavering commitment to educational visits, including an exciting residential visit in both Year 3 and Year 5! ๐๏ธโจ
These visits are meticulously planned to provide students with hands-on, real-world encounters that not only enhance academic knowledge but also foster a deep appreciation for the world around us. ๐ Whether exploring museums, delving into the wonders of nature, or engaging with historical sites, each trip provides opportunities for pupils to build lasting memories, promote teamwork, and develop essential social skills. ๐๐ญ
Some of our recent trips have been truly unforgettable:
๐ถ Reception pupils visited Peak Wildlife Park as part of their Understanding the World learning about the arctic. ๐ Year 1 pupils explored The Brampton Museum as part of their history learning about toys from the past. ๐ญ Year 2 pupils showcased their talents on stage at The Victoria Hall to consolidate their learning in music lessons. ๐ญ Year 3 pupils immersed themselves in the rich industrial heritage of Stoke-on-Trent at Gladstone Pottery Museum. ๐๏ธ Year 4 pupils explored The Grosvenor Museum to deepen their understanding of the Romans. ๐๏ธ Year 5 pupils conducted a fascinating river study in and around the Peak District with leaders from Stanley Head Outdoor Activity Centre. ๐ฃ Year 6 pupils visited the Imperial War Museum to consolidate their learning about conflict during the Second World War.
With many more exciting educational visits planned between now and the end of the year, there's a wealth of opportunities for pupils to extend their learning beyond the confines of the classroom! ๐๐
