Mental Health, Welfare and Wellbeing

At Milton, we promote good mental health and wellbeing through a safe, happy and nurturing environment. Our pupils can access a wellbeing scale to help them recognise and manage how they are feeling.

We also have trained staff who are able to identify the needs of pupils and provide support for their mental health, which can also include accessing support from outside agencies.

Welfare Team

At Milton, our welfare team has a child-centred approach which allows them to provide the best possible support and outcomes for our pupil’s and their families. Our team ensures that pupils can identify trusted adults within our school should they need to share any worries.

Our welfare team is highly trained and dedicated to providing support to our pupils through interventions, nurture provision and direct work. They also ensure that parents and carers are well supported with access to advice, guidance and other professional services that we work in a multi-agency approach in order to offer the right support at the right time.

Pupils, parents and carers have daily access to our welfare team. Children can access the ‘Welfare Doorbell’ and parents and carers are able to communicate with the team via telephone, email or via our Facebook page.
